Meet Marta from Spain

Marta is a first-year student enrolled in our Bachelor’s+ in Psychology, Politics, Law & Economics. Originally from Spain, she grew up on the island of Ibiza and studied at Morna International College, an international British school. She speaks Spanish, Catalan, English and French fluently, and is currently learning Portuguese at university.

During high school, Marta served on the student council for three years, where she led and supported various charitable initiatives including animal welfare, health charities and environmental protection. She also volunteered at ‘Sa Coma’, the local animal shelter of the island.

Alongside these commitments, Marta provided private tutoring lessons and served as a French Subject Ambassador during her junior and senior years, supporting younger students. She also completed the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and was part of her school’s winning team in the ‘Race for Good’ competition.

Why did she join Forward College?

Marta was searching for a university that valued personal development and initiative alongside academic achievement. Forward College stood out to her because of its distinctive approach to education, the international opportunity and flipped-classroom model, which she felt aligned with her learning style and personal priorities.

Outside Forward College

Marta is passionate about discovering countries’ cultures and languages, and she is dedicating her free time to visiting different towns and villages around Lisbon, immersing herself in local life whilst practising Portuguese by interacting with locals.
