Lauren, Class of 2028

Hi! My name is Lauren and I’m Japanese-American. I grew up learning a multitude of languages and cultures through a diverse set of communities built in the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Before attending Forward, I took a bit of an unconventional route and decided to take a gap year. I had the chance to travel and really explore my interests before deciding on my higher education journey. As I prepared for my studies, I realised I was still unsure of what track I wanted to pursue. When the opportunity to explore a future at Forward College presented itself, I felt elated to have found a school that supported and encouraged me to continue to explore multiple programmes through the Open Bachelor’s alongside an amazing international cohort. In my own time, I enjoy cooking with my family, spending time in nature, and I especially enjoy listening to music.
