Dr. Jakub Kiedrowski

Lecturer in Business and Management

Jakub Kiedrowski is an experienced leader in ethics, integrity, governance, internal audit, evaluation, compliance, and risk management, with a distinguished career spanning international organisations and multinational corporations.

From 2022 to 2025, Jakub served as Chief of Independent Evaluation at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Vienna. Prior to this, he was Head of the Office of Ethics and Accountability at UNIDO (2020–2022), where he established the professional ethics function, developed and promoted ethical standards, advised on conflicts of interest, and led initiatives to prevent fraud, corruption, and misconduct. Earlier in his career, he served as Internal Auditor at the Office of Internal Oversight at the International Atomic Energy Agency (2016–2020) and held various oversight roles at Citibank in London, Lisbon, and Warsaw (2005–2016), including Director of Franchise Governance Internal Audit for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Jakub holds a Ph.D. in Economic and Social Sciences from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien), a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bradford and Kozminski University, and a Master of Law and Diploma in Banking and Finance from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. He also completed the Executive Management Programme at the United Nations System Staff College in Torino. His professional credentials include Chartered Internal Auditor (CMIIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA).

Jakub’s extensive experience leading governance, ethics, and oversight functions across both the private and public sectors gives him a unique perspective on management – from organisational accountability and decision-making frameworks to risk management, corporate governance, and ethical leadership in complex, global environments.

  • Use of oversight mechanisms to foster cultures of integrity and continuous improvement

  • The utilisation of evaluation evidence in strategic planning and resource allocation
