Dr. Fabian Cuervo

Assistant Professor in Economics
Dr. Fabian holds a PhD in Development Studies (cum laude) from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management of the University of Lisbon, with a dissertation about the relationship between economic (under)development and armed conflict.
During his Master’s degree in Germany, he researched about the links between cultural traits and economic development, and lectured courses on Intercultural Relations and International Organizations.
Fabian also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the National University of Colombia.
Prior to joining Forward, Fabian has been professor of economics at universities in Bogotá-Colombia and Madrid-Spain, teaching subjects such as Principles of Economics, International Economic Policy, Economic Development, Regional Culture and Economics, and World Economy, among others. He also has experience in the derivatives area of private financial institutions in Colombia and Portugal.
His current research interests include behavioral economics and cultural traits for economic development and sustainability.
