"The future belongs to those who are humble enough to learn and relearn our humanity"

Sheryl Foo

How to manage stress and anxiety? How to decipher emotions and address them? How to make decisions? How to engage others? How to cope with frustration of failure?... All these challenges lie on the road to positive leadership and wellbeing.

Forward Personal Development Programme supports students in understanding better their aspirations, getting prepared for the upcoming world of work and managing their personal balance.

3 Higher Education certificates to enhance your personal skills

Students who wish to complement their academic bachelor with a certificate in personal development select 3 modules among the 9 available (see below). These modules cover emotional skills (personal preferences, emotions management, decision making…), social skills (communication, feedback, building trust…) and leadership skills (influence, diplomacy...).

Each module accounts for approximately 120 hours of work. They all follow a 4-step approach:

  • Individual self assessment and defining objectives for personal development
  • Weekly activities in small groups
  • Debriefing and assessment with a coach in one-on-one sessions
  • Readings, conferences and master classes to deepen the understanding of each topic and support individual growth

All Forward Students go through regular assessments covering all their forms of intelligences (cognitive, social, emotional, practical and technological). Students can monitor their progress throughout the 3 year programme and set their priorities for the next term.

This evaluation is based on a self assessment exercise cross-checked with feedbacks from Forward Faculty, students’ teammates, friends and external partners they have been engaged with. They are debriefed during individual coaching session.

This 360° assessment provides Forward Graduates with a Skills Map that guides their career options and supports their applications for master programmes and future jobs.
