200K€ in Grants and Scholarships for Outstanding Students

2020-2021 edition of the Forward Impact Award has concluded. The winners have been awarded with 200K€ grants and scholarships.

Why a Forward Impact Award?


We believe future leaders must go beyond academic excellence, demonstrate drive and make a difference in the field that matters to them.

At Forward College, we are looking for and awarding exceptional students who have demonstrated amazing engagement along their studies. We believe these achievements are as important as your school reports and should be nurtured during higher education.

We are looking for unique and outstanding personalities.

What Were The Awards?


2020-2021 edition of the contest, total of €200,000 was awarded to the winners in the form of:

  • Grants of €1,000 based on the merits of the project.
  • Combination of Scholarships and Financial Aid up to €45,000 based on the merits of the project and the assessment of financial needs.

Who Qualifies for the Impact Award?


Impact Award is for students who in addition to being accepted to Forward College have demonstrated exceptional engagement with a concrete impact in fields such as:

  • Civic Engagement (e.g. you coordinated a social project such as fundraising for a charity)
  • Sustainability (e.g. you initiated green practices in your school or community)
  • Arts & Sports (e.g. you performed professionally at a musical or sporting event)
  • Technology (e.g. you developed an application or a website).
  • DIY (e.g. you developed or made a product from scratch).
  • Or any other event, project or achievement you made.

How were your submissions assessed?


The applications have been assessed by a panel of experts and partners*. The main condition was to be accepted to Forward College. Afterwards, the applications were assessed under following criteria:

  • Drive: what it took you to make it happen?
  • Impact: what have you achieved (prize, selection, concrete impact…)
  • Mindset: How did you approach your project? What did you learn from it?
  • Originality : What makes your project different, innovative?

*Jury members included: Corinne Vigreux, Founder of Codam Coding College, Katja Urbatsch Founder and CEO of Arbeitkind and Ashoka Fellow, Boris Walbaum Founder and President of FWD College.
