Nuclear Imaging and Data Frugality by Dr. Mohammad Majid al-Rifaie

16/03/2023 | 17:45-18:45

Dr al-Rifaie will cover the reconstruction process, the role of data in the process, as well as presenting some of the methods currently used in hospitals where a large amount of data is collected before performing the image reconstruction. He will also introduce state-of-the-art methods such as swarm intelligence which reduce the amount of data used reducing the radioactive exposure.

Dr. Mohammad Majid al-Rifaie is a Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Greenwich, School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences. He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Computational Swarm Intelligence from Goldsmiths, University of London.
