Educating future-ready students in the age of AI

Our vision
Artificial intelligence is reshaping education, work, and society at an unprecedented pace. While many uncertainties remain, Forward College is built on a clear conviction: education must train students to master advanced technologies while developing the human skills that technology cannot replace.
This is more demanding than it sounds. Most institutions struggle to do either well. At Forward, we deliberately do both.
To explore the intellectual foundations of this vision, you may consult the summary of our founder’s book on education and AI.
Clear rules for using AI
We provide students with explicit, non-ambiguous rules:
- AI is encouraged for all take-home assignments, to develop strong AI literacy.
- AI is prohibited in all invigilated, on-site assessments, secured with state-of-the-art proctoring.
This clarity protects academic integrity while ensuring that students learn to use AI responsibly, critically, and effectively.

Learning with AI
From Year 1, all students receive structured training on:
- How AI systems work,
- Their potential and limitations,
- How to use them in academically and professionally relevant ways.
AI is fully integrated into our flipped classroom model, where students prepare core content autonomously before classes that are highly interactive. Used well, AI becomes a powerful tutor: to clarify concepts, test understanding, receive feedback, and improve learning efficiency.

Focus on the Forward AI Hub
All students have access to the Forward AI Hub, which provides:
- secure access to leading AI models,
- in-house AI tutors tailored to specific disciplines,
- an AI Compass that analyses students’ AI usage and provides concrete feedback (prompt quality, depth of reasoning, multi-model strategies).
The objective is not automation, but progressive sophistication in how students think with AI.

Focus on AI, projects and entrepreneurship
Across our programmes, students work on term-long or year-long interdisciplinary projects:
- Design thinking and lean startup methods,
- AI Bootcamp to explore new AI powered tools (vibe coding…)
- Exposure to agentic AI systems.
Example of project from our Year-2 students
A fact-checking tool for Instagram, designed by Year 2 students, combining seamless user experience with a robust AI backend.
Focus on our Data Science & AI programmes
Forward College offers dedicated, academically rigorous pathways for students who want to design, analyse and govern AI-driven systems, not just use them.
- BSc in Data Science & Business Analytics
A full bachelor’s degree focused on data analysis, modelling, decision-making and real-world business applications.
(See programme page) - Data Science & AI Major – Open Bachelor
A flexible major combining data science, AI fundamentals and interdisciplinary applications, embedded in a broader liberal-arts-inspired curriculum.
(See programme page)
In both programmes students work with real datasets, learn to reason with models, and develop the analytical rigor expected by top graduate schools and employers.

Human skills to stand out
As AI lowers the cost of solutions and intensifies competition, human skills become decisive: judgment, sense-making, communication, leadership, resilience… This is why we adopted a relational pedagogy that favours teamwork and teacher to students relationships for which Forward was ranked first globally.
Focus on our Personal Development programme
Forward College invests heavily in structured personal development available in our bachelor’s +, double bachelor’s and open bachelor’s. This programme helps understand the science behind these skills, their significance in the workplace while putting the emphasis on personal practice of highly effective techniques in
- Social Intelligence (Year 1): networking, team work, building trust, effective communication…
- Emotional Intelligence (Year 2): self-awareness, resilience, stress management, energy management, focus…

360° Development: Becoming the author of your own growth
- annual peer feedback on social, emotional and practical skills,
- coaching sessions to interpret feedback,
- support to design and execute a personalised development plan.
