Sophia

Double Bachelor’s in Psychology and Business & Leadership

I joined Forward College because I wanted to broaden my perspectives by studying and living in three different countries. As part of my Bachelor’s in Business and Leadership, I’ve done a project about the sense of community, belonging, and well-being in an underprivileged neighbourhood of Lisbon. In my free time, I like to play the violin, guitar and ukulele, and develop my photography skills.

Our Students

Yohana

Spain

Double Bachelor’s in Economics & Politics and Business & Leadership

I decided to join Forward College for its personalised approach to teaching and the variety of fields of study I could focus on. At Forward, I knew I wouldn’t be treated just as a number and would be given the opportunity to craft my bachelor’s based on my own interests. Working on topics I am passionate about is how I feel I can make an impact in the world. Currently, I’m a Climate Pact Ambassador for the European Commission, which means I am able to attend global events and also collaborated with non-profit organisations like UNICEF. I am also passionate about law, arts, philosophy and volunteering.

Ákos

Bachelor’s in Economics & Politics

I decided to leave my previous university and join Forward, because I was persuaded by the opportunity of getting in touch with multiple cultures, as I’m studying in three different cultural settings surrounded by people with various backgrounds and cultural identities. Forward’s teaching approach and the proximity of the teachers to students also respond to my wishes and expectations. I’m especially keen on the International Political Thought course and eager to dig deeper into numerous political thinkers as part of the course curriculum. For my bachelor in Business & Leadership, I invested in the topic of mental health and its role in the formation of future educators. In my free time, I mostly like to further my knowledge and experience in the enogastronomic sector, however I’m mostly interested in the wine industry and would like to pursue a career in this field.

Double Bachelor’s in Economics & Politics and Business & Leadership

After studying international relations and marketing in high school, I decided to join Forward College because I was enthusiastic about the flipped classroom approach and the hands-on learning process. I also felt inspired by the possibility of working on impactful projects and developing her digital skills; something highly requested in the labour market. For my Bachelor’s in Business and Leadership, I’m focussing on the topic of sustainability and the environment.

I have been also nominated Student life representative and act as the Chief of the Student Committee.

During my free time I enjoy dancing, getting creative with camera, engaging in charity work, and I am currently learning my fifth language, Portuguese.

I choose to study at Forward, because it offers outstanding travelling opportunities thanks to its traveling aspect in addition to its high-quality education. I am really engaged in community service and sports. Along with two friends, we have been organising a cultural festival to give back life to a forgotten area in Hungary. The festival has been so successful that it has attracted more than 200 people and in 2021 it expects to host around 600.

Double Bachelor’s in Economics & Politics and Business & Leadership

After my high school experience in Bosnia-Hercegovina through United World College and having completed one year at a Canadian university, I came to Forward College because of its small-classroom and discussion-focused approach. Compared to my previous university, the teaching fellows at Forward are able to provide me with more individual support, feedback and recognition. In addition, Forward grants me the opportunity to explore and discover three countries, such as Portugal, France and Germany, with just one Bachelor’s degree.

For my Social Impact Project, as part of the bachelor in Business and Leadership, I’m aiming to organise beach clean-ups in the Lisbon area to give back to the local community and take greater care of the environment. In my free time, I fly gliders and I’m involved in the fight of climate crisis.

I enrolled in the Bachelor’s+ in Data Science & Business Analytics after spending a year on an exchange in Switzerland. I joined Forward to meet people from all over the world and to travel while studying. For my bachelor’s+ project, I decided to take part in the Environmental Impact club. In my free time, I’m learning a new language, playing music, painting, and exploring Lisbon.

Double Bachelor’s in Data Science & Business Analytics and Business & Leadership

Forward College my her first choice because I wanted the opportunity to live in three multicultural countries during my studies. Also, I prefer to have a personal connection with her teachers, something enabled by Forward’s small sized classes.

Thanks to the extra activities in my Bachelor’s+, I’m deepening my knowledge and interest in financial topics. During my IB high-school experience I worked on two publications related to marketing and complex number topics, volunteered for various NGOs such as Letters against Isolation, One Tree Planted, Kocka Kör and helped in the organisation of numerous fundraisers.

When I’m not at Forward, I like to spend time putting my sewing talents to work upcycling used clothing and thrift-flipping.
