Parent Testimonial on Forward College
For many parents, choosing the right university for their child is one of the most important decisions they’ll make together. For Christen Rehn, that process led her to Forward College. We spoke with Sarah’s mother to understand what led their family to Forward College — and what they’ve seen since.

1. Can you briefly introduce yourself?
I am a Norwegian parent with a background in business, technology and leadership. As a parent, I see my role as guiding and supporting my child in finding a meaningful and forward- looking path in life — helping her develop both skills and character that will enable her to thrive in an increasingly complex and demanding society.
2. Can you briefly introduce Sarah and her academic path before joining Forward College?
Before joining Forward College, Sarah was a student at an upper secondary school in Oslo, Norway, where she completed a demanding academic programme and developed a strong interest in international affairs, leadership and business.

3. Which universities or programmes was Sarah admitted to before choosing Forward College?
Sarah was admitted to several well-regarded universities and programmes, including LUISS, KU Leuven, Trinity College Dublin, and the Brussels School of Governance, among others.
4. As a parent, how involved were you in the decision-making process?
We were supportive and closely involved, helping her reflect on the importance of choosing an education that aligned with her intrinsic motivation, while also providing a strong platform and a logical next step towards a wide range of future opportunities.
5. How and when did you first hear about Forward College?
We first came across Forward College through online information and videos on social media.
6. What was your first reaction as a parent upon learning about Forward College?
The learning approach, small class sizes and close academic follow-up immediately gave a very positive first impression, particularly in terms of fostering critical thinking and personal development.
7. What aspects of Forward College appealed to you the most?
The tutoring model, small classes and the overall concept of close follow-up stood out. Forward College clearly aims to prepare students for a different world than the one many
traditional institutions are designed for.
8. Were there any hesitations or questions you had about choosing Forward College?
Our main questions related to opportunities after completing the Bachelor’s degree. Receiving clear answers and guidance on this gave us additional confidence and reassurance.

9. What ultimately convinced you that Forward College was the right choice for Sarah?
The combination of Forward College’s educational approach with the strong reputation of the awarding institutions — LSE and King’s College London — was decisive. The academic
credibility combined with a forward-thinking model made it the right choice.
10. Was there a specific moment, conversation, or insight that made your decision clearer?
Yes, the alignment between the educational philosophy and Sarah’s personal strengths and ambitions made it clear that this was a very good fit for her next step.
11. How is Sarah doing today at Forward College?
She is doing very well. She is happy, well integrated, and clearly enjoying both the academic and social environment.
12. From your perspective as a parent, how has she evolved academically and personally?

Persanally, Sarah has grown noticeably in confidence, independence and maturity, and now approaches topics with a broader and more holistic perspective.
14. Looking back, would you make the same decision again? Why or why not?
Yes, without hesitation. She is very satisfied, and from both an academic and social perspective, the experience has fully met our expectations.
15. What kind of student — and what kind of family — do you think Forward College is particularly well suited for?
Forward College is particularly well suited for curious and ambitious students who are open to different perspectives and learning approaches, and for families who value intellectual curiosity, independence and alternative ways of understanding complex global issues.
