Dr. Andrée Sursock

Dr. Andrée Sursock’s is involved in a wide range of international higher education projects focused on governance, quality, internationalisation, doctoral education, and student access and success. She sits on the board of several universities and quality agencies in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East and  is currently a member of a high-level international jury for the French government which oversees major investment in the development of higher education in France. As one of the academics who pioneered the European quality assurance framework, Dr. Andrée Sursock drives Forward College’s effort in Quality Assurance and heads its Quality Assurance Committee. She has been deputy secretary general of the European University Association and a leading contributor to the European framework of quality assurance and accreditation. She also sits on various university boards across the globe and is a board member of the American Council on Education and the Higher Education Academy (UK). She is also a senior advisor at IEEP-UNESCO and the World Bank. Andrée Sursock holds a PhD in anthropology from UC Berkeley.
