At Forward College, we believe Artificial Intelligence is not just a tool: it is a transformative technology for the world of work and learning. By integrating AI into our teaching, we aim to enhance learning, foster innovation, and equip our students with the skills they need to thrive in an AI-powered world, while safeguarding critical thinking and intellectual independence.
AI and flipped learning
Through Forward College’s flipped-classroom model, students are progressively encouraged to first engage with course materials at home using AI tools that explain complex concepts, quiz their understanding, and adapt to their level. As a result, in class, teachers can focus on what only humans can do and what AI can’t: guiding discussions, fostering debate, role-playing, coaching, solving problems, and creating together.
AI supports the acquisition of knowledge before class, while the classroom becomes a space for collaboration, training and deepening.
Because AI tools can produce hallucinated or misleading explanations, students will be taught how to approach AI critically rather than relying on it for first exposure before the class. Pre-class work should guide students to consult the official materials first, and then use AI only to compare, rephrase, or reflect on what they have already learned. This helps students develop AI-literacy skills and prevents AI-generated misunderstandings from shaping their baseline knowledge.

AI powered projects
In Year 2, you will discover how without technical knowledge, you can design and implement digital solutions leveraging AI to solve problems of your choosing. You will familiarise yourself with incredibly user-friendly apps that act like coders or graphic designers at your side.
Our AI tools for students
- AI Hub: Gives students access to all leading models (GPT, Claude, Gemini…) and Forward AI solutions (AI tutors, Career Bot or English for Academic Purposes Bot).
- Personal AI Dashboard: Helps students assess and develop their AI skills and how well they leverage AI for their learning.
- AI Induction Workshops: Introduces every student to AI and how best use it for learning.
AI and assessments
Most assessments are closed books and take place on campus with strict invigilation rules that are here to maintain assessments integrity and equal treatment among students
Some assessments are open book (AI allowed). In such cases, use of AI is expected and is reported in a special form. Expectations are much higher and examination entails an oral dimension to ensure students own their production.
