Majken, Class of 2027
Meet Majken from Sweden
Majken is pursuing a Double Bachelor’s in Politics & International Relations and Business & Leadership. Raised in a trilingual household speaking Swedish, German, and Norwegian, she has always been drawn to international experiences and understanding how people and ideas connect worldwide.
After spending her school years between Norway and California, Majken took a gap year across Europe and Latin America. During that time, she earned a TEFL certificate in Costa Rica, learned about indigenous communities in Guatemala, joined jungle conservation projects in the Amazon, and worked at a nursing home in Norway.
Why did she join Forward College?
Majken chose Forward College for its blend of academic excellence and creative learning. Studying here has pushed her to apply theory to real-world challenges, collaborate across cultures, and learn from diverse perspectives.
Outside of Forward College
Beyond the classroom, Majken has gained experience working with young entrepreneurs focused on social impact and researching democracy in local government, applying both sides of her studies in practice. She enjoys traveling, learning new languages, and taking long walks between readings to explore the city.
