Danielle Kanclerz

Students Recruitment and Admissions Officer
Originally from Ypsilanti, Michigan in the USA, Danielle built her 12+ year career in international higher education and enrollment management while living and working in Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, and California. Building upon her positive experiences studying abroad in Australia, Ecuador, and Fiji as well as personal and professional travel through more than 50 different countries, she relocated to Berlin – a place that has always felt like home – so that she could continue working on learning German, enjoy the city’s diversity, and take part in the lively arts and culture scene.
Danielle has represented a wide variety of institutions, including some of the most highly selective US universities as well as regional public institutions and small liberal arts colleges. She believes strongly in the value of a high-quality international education experience being the foundation to a fulfilling life and career. As a first generation college student, she understands the many different aspects of institutional fit that can factor into the university experience. She encourages students to consider their best fit in a university while guiding students through the rumination inherent in the college research process.
In addition to her work with Forward College, Danielle also reviews scholarship applications for the Fund for Education Abroad and is involved in the International Association of College Admission Counseling, serving on annual conference committees.
