Madalena, 2024 Cohort

Meet Madalena from Portugal
Madalena is a first-year student enrolled in our Double Bachelor’s in Politics & International Relations and Business & Leadership. Originally from Portugal, she spent most of her school years at Lycée Français Charles Lepierre, where she became fluent in French, adding to her languages of Portuguese, English, and Italian.
During high school, Madalena founded and led her school’s Model United Nations club, interned at the EuRA Mobility Conference, and attended summer programmes at Bocconi and LaSalle universities. Passionate about travel, she completed a round-the-world trip with her parents in 2019 while finishing 8th grade online — an experience she credits with shaping her adaptability and global outlook.
Why did she join Forward College?
Madalena was drawn to Forward College for its emphasis on soft skills development through the Personal Development Programme, as well as its commitment to cultural immersion and international living. It stood out as the ideal environment to balance academic excellence with personal growth.
Outside of Forward College
Alongside her studies, Madalena continues to pursue her passion for motorsports. She has competed in endurance races and a go-karting championship for the past three years and has played an active role in organising the Caramulo Festival, Portugal’s largest motor festival, for the past five editions.
