Meet Héctor from Spain
Héctor is a first-year student enrolled in our Double Bachelor’s in Economics & Management and Business & Leadership. Passionate about economics, finance, and politics from a young age, he decided to follow a degree that could mix all these subjects.
Alongside his studies, Héctor is part of BlueWalker Capital, an aspiring hedge fund incubated by a venture capital firm in San Francisco, where he develops systematic trading strategies. He also works remotely with Bética Partners, a wealth management company, advising clients on investment solutions and portfolio optimisation.
This summer, he will be interning in Asset Management and Private Equity at Haitong Bank in Lisbon before moving to Paris for his second year.
Why did he join Forward College?
Héctor was drawn to Forward College for its international environment and its emphasis on active, project-based learning. He saw it as the ideal setting to combine academic excellence with real-world experience, and professional opportunities across Europe.
Outside of Forward College
A talented musician, Héctor completed an associate degree in Classical Music Theory and Interpretation at the Conservatory of Valencia and won first prize at the National Euphonium Contest for Classical Music in 2023.
